Ingredients:
Pomfret 3
Rice (soaked) 2 cups
Gralic 8 cloves
Lemon 3
Green chillies (finely cut) 6
Whole round red chillies 8
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Soya sauce 1 tsp
White vinegar 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 3 tbsp + 1 cup
Fried onions and mint for garnishing
Method:
- Par-boil rice in water. keep aside.
- Without washing, cut fish into pieces; apply vinegar and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Wash fish; apply juice of 2 lemons, turmeric and salt.
- Blend red chillies and 2 cloves of garlic in a blender; squeeze juice of 1 lemon in it. coat fish with the masala.
- Heat 1 cup oil in a frying pan; fry fish and remove.
- Heat remaining oil in pot; fry 6 un-chopped cloves of garlic golden. add rice; fry
- Add soya sauce, vinegar, salt and green chillies.
- dish out rice; place fish pieces on top.
- Garnish with onions and mint.
